It has been a mere month since my last post but I have not forsaken thee. In the spirit of renewed efforts, this post will concern the activities of disappearing/re-appearing friends in our lives. The ones that suffer for the peekaboo syndrome.
Those people that only wander back into our spheres of activities when 1) they need a favor, 2)They realize a major holiday is fast approaching and/or 3) a major catastrophe is about to overwhelm them. They wander out of our lives when they no longer "think" about us too. Please note, that being approached by these individuals may signal one or all of the above conditions. What to do when these friends enter the stage? Smile and nod. Remember, their presence is hardly a permanent condition and just as soon as the issue/event is resolved through no actions on your part, they will leave.
Then blissful silence and calm may rule the day again.
ps. Needy friends with issues, bring your own b&j's when you come over to share the misery. My last pint does not belong to you.
