Food for Thought

Dear Reader,

Happy All Saints Day to you.

That sentiment out of the way, lets move along to the important stuff, like what holiday will be rammed down consumer throats now that Halloween is behind us. Having not stepped into a store yet today, I will venture to guess that Christmas decorations are up and running.

Whatever happened to Thanksgiving? You know, that holiday between Halloween and Christmas. Its a commemoration of the fictional celebration between the Pilgrims and the Native Americans a few hundred years ago. Nope, it isn't represented on store shelves.

The only thing that grocery stores push in November are a few drumsticks which is nothing compared to the deluge of nonsensical items that retailers promote for December festivities.

My suggestion for November is to take some time and eat the turkey. After all, a nap or too won't hurt a bit.
