Dear Reader,
The start of December is upon us like a ravenous wolf waiting to descend and viciously rip his sharpened teeth in the unwary prey. Despite this gristly beginning, I do enjoy December with all the holiday celebrations.

No, my complaint lies with the stores of filled with aisles of holiday trinkets that I would never consider gracing in my home let alone gift to a friend.
Why does the world need more tree skirts with reindeer designs? Does Rudolph need the extra publicity? Does a tree really even need a skirt? No, dear reader, it does not.
How then should we spend the holidays if not in conspicuous consumption? I suggest retreating to the mountains* and enjoying the last of the snow and ice before it all melts. So celebrate the inner snow bunny within and ski, board and sip hot chocolate to your heart's content.
