A new plan is in the works for a portion of world domination. Details to follow.

Manifest Destiny

Dear Reader,

What is your opinion on Manifest Destiny? Are you the master of the universe or a bleating sheep?

Napoleon is great example for both sides of the coin on this question, so go discuss!

Falling in Autumn

Dear Reader,

I am enraptured by Roger Livesey. He is my new gold standard for comparing the men in my life. Spent a wonderful 90 minutes engaged by a charming performance by Roger Livesey in " I Know Where I Am Going", a fairytale film by Powell & Pressburger.

Hands down, this film encapsulates all that was right about English film making during the 1940's. Small intimate portraits of the people and the period, a wonderful gem overall.

Wendy Hiller gives a strong performance as a modern driven woman whose focused efforts has brought her life's dream: a millionaire.

I won't spoil the plot of the movie for you, dear reader. Keep in mind, an impoverished Scottish Laird is a formidable match for any man, woman or whirlpool.

The key feature of interest for this writer is Roger's voice. His sweet tones and almost foggy rhythms will comfort and coddle you to a blissful state of security. Any man who wear his kilt without any hint of distress is a man beyond most men.

Roger may not be the most conventionally attractive star however his clear eyes and distinctive voice place him above mere beefcake.

New and improved

Dear Reader,

I have decided upon a course of hard-core glamour and romanticism that will knock anyone for a lovely loop or two.

So, a newly invented background with scandalous undertones, exotic beauty treatments and a heightened passion for jewels is in order. Travel around the world and hobnobbing with nabobs is a must.

The excitement begins!

Silly romantic

Dear Reader,

I have been in a silly flirtatious mood indulging in flights of fancy. However, I will still maintain control over all the delightful emotions and excitement. Susan Hayward's performance in "My Foolish Heart" was a grand and over the top bravura fueled by alcohol and melodrama:

"The night is like a lovely tune, beware my foolish heart!
How white the ever constant moon, take care, my foolish heart!
There's a line between love and fascination,
That's hard to see on an evening such as this,
For they give the very same sensation.
When you are lost in the passion of a kiss.
Your lips are much too close to mine, beware my foolish heart!
But should our eager lips combine, then let the fire start.
For this time it isn't fascination, or a dream that will fade and fall apart,
It's love this time, it's love, my foolish heart!"

"Love letters straight from your heart
Keep us so near while apart
I'm not alone in the night
When I can have all the love you write

I memorize ev'ry line
I kiss the name that you sign
And darlin, then I read again right from the start
Love letters straight from your heart"

Jennifer Jones and Joseph Cotten were Cyrano lovers connected by letters and mistaken identity. Reader, every woman deserves at least one fabulous romance even if it only enacted on celluloid.

What it means to me...

Dear Reader,

I present the lyrics to "Mean to Me".

You're mean to me
Why must you be mean to me?
Gee, honey, it seems to me
You love to see me cryin'
I don't know why
I stay home each night
When you say you phone
You don't and I'm left alone.
Sing the blues and sighin'
You treat me coldly each day in the year
You always scold me
Whenever somebody is near, dear
I must be great fun to be mean to me
You shouldn't, for can't you see
What you mean to me

Do yourself a favor, watch it and prepared to be awed.

Paradise

Dear Reader,

A new month has crept past my feet.
Summer is a complete delight that has wrought forth lovely fruit.

Fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is a mighty tempting. Mmmmm, life is wonderfully juicy, delectable and delicious experience to be savored.

Quarter

Dear Reader,

It has been almost a full three months since my last update. So much has occurred and yet much remains the strikingly the same. The important matters remain stable.

So my question is there free will or is everything based on destiny? Do we create our future through manifestations based on dreams or a higher source?

Puppy Love

Dear Reader,
There has been an overwhelming response to the recent www.despair.com posting that I linked to in an earlier post. It appears you desire cute furry ,cuddly animals.
I am a great admirer of animals however my lifestyle is as such that would not permit a happy pet. Enjoy the a really adorable puppy and dream sugar coated kisses and slobbery goo affections.
