I am admitting one of my favorite guilty pleasures: Watching Queen Latifah movies.
The movies are standard fare with hokey plots, uninspired co-stars and the worst dialogue imaginable. However, in spite of everything, I love Queen Latifah.

Queen Latifah, aka Dana Owens, came from humble roots to now command her own entertainment empire. Gotta love women that climb the way to the top. Barring all her success in the music world and her curves it is her attitude which places her at the forefront of any scene.
She has a magnetic personality, a fabulous smile and a seemingly honest direct approach which the camera and the audience admires. Queen Latifah plays it simple most of the time rarely breaking from her working class roots but when she glams it up-- she is hot.
Watch her "when you're good to mama" scene in "Chicago" and be ready to have your socks blown off the toes. She is sexy, playing, commanding and all woman enough to know that if you are in her pen that crossing mama is a very poor choice.
Queen Latifah, rule on! Although, as a devoted fan, I beg one small thing. Please spend a little more time and money developing your future scripts. Maybe a bio-pic based on the life and times of Lena Horne. After all, she too is a sexy, savvy spirited woman with whom anyone would be happy to be associated.
